SOS-UK advocates for student leadership and students as co-creators in implementing Education for Sustainable Development curriculum design and innovation. This is an integral part of the newly released QAA and Advance HE ESD Guidance.
Our ESD changemakers programme is open to universities and colleges to support staff, in partnership with their students, to establish a co-creation approach for ensuring tertiary education is fit for purpose. It seeks to address ‘D3’: democratising, decarbonising and decolonising teaching, learning and research. This approach aims to ensure students are appropriately equipped with the knowledge and understanding, skills and attributes to meaningfully take action for climate justice and address the climate and ecological crisis.
Students and staff will work together, in partnership, as ESD changemakers. SOS-UK will support ESD change makers (students & staff) to:
Membership includes a range of support from SOS-UK, including workshops, student and staff specific support as well as logistical help. We are happy to tailor support to your institutional context in order to ensure tangible and impactful outcomes.
