Our SOS-UK Trustees
Goodbye and thank you
We are sadly saying goodbye to Zamzam, Ellen, and Richard who have reached the end of their time as SOS-UK Trustees. Zamzam, Ellen, and Richard have been instrumental in setting up SOS-UK and shaping our strategic direction in these early years as a new charity. Zamzam and Richard were both founding Trustees of SOS-UK, helping to establish the charity and serving as our first President and Chair, respectively.
We would like to thank them from the bottom of our hearts for everything they’ve done to support our work and the staff team. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours!
Thank you!
Welcome to...
We would also like to welcome our four new trustees: Chloe, Emma, Ludovico and Scarlett.
Chloe Ferguson (she/her) is the current president of NUS-USI and chair of the NUS Charity Trustee Board. She has led a successful campaign for Queen’s University Belfast to declare a climate emergency, set up a Staff Sustainability department and created a plan to become a Net-Zero institution.
Emma de Saram (she/her) is 22 years old and the current Vice President for Liberation and Equality at the University of Exeter and History graduate. She has worked across national climate campaign groups including Green New Deal Rising, Extinction Rebellion and Stop Cambo.
Ludovico Caminati (he/him) is about to graduate with an honours degree in International Politics at the University of Stirling in Scotland. He is a passionate campaigner and is interested in intersectional social justice, communications, and journalism.
Scarlett Westbrook (she/her) is an 18-year-old leading climate justice activist and journalist, and the youngest person in the world to attain an A-level in Government and Politics, which she self-taught at age 13. She has long been involved in our Teach the Future campaign.
Thank you to all our new and current trustees for bringing their skills, knowledge and passion to SOS-UK and supporting us to further our work.
